No Update This Week

Good morning,

There will be no RSE Freestyle Weekly Update this week. Instead I will be focusing all of my free time today on getting started on the “Planet Rock” purge. Now, just to be clear - this does not mean all songs that utilize “Planet Rock” will be removed from the station. If the song is a classic where it’s the only real option (like “Take Me In Your Arms” by Lil Suzy or “Died In Your Arms” by Intonation feat. Joée) then it’s safe.

Songs released from the late 1990s and onward will be closely scrutinized. If it’s a lazy original production, remix, remake, etc. using “Planet Rock” because it instantly equates to “Freestyle” then there is a very good chance it will be removed. I expect a lot of music from the west coast & Texas USA, Canada, South America and Europe will be affected. I won’t really know until I get started.

I plan to be back with a regular update next week and an all-new Excel file. I don’t recall adding anything new to the station this week - not because I didn’t have anything. I just wanted to hold off on uploading new content until I completed removing the “Planet Rock” offenders.
